INDICATIONS

  • Gastrointestinal Infections: Treatment of bacterial gastroenteritis and scours.
  • Respiratory Infections: Treatment of pneumonia and other respiratory conditions.
  • Reproductive Tract Infections: Metritis and mastitis treatment.
  • Soft Tissue & Joint Infections: Arthritis, poly-arthritis, meningitis, and related conditions.
  • Post-Operative Care: Recommended for surgical wounds and care.

ADMINISTRATION

  • Subcutaneous (SQ) Injection: Often preferred for dogs and cats due to the lower risk of bleeding or hematoma formation at the injection site. Administered under the skin, often in the scruff of the neck or shoulder blades.
  • Intramuscular (IM) Injection: Injected directly into the muscle tissue (typically the apex of the back leg or spine muscles). This route is more prone to bruising or bleeding complications in animals with active clotting issues.
  • Intravenous (IV) Injection: Only used in emergency or acute hemorrhaging situations and must be diluted in 0.9% sodium chloride or 5% dextrose solution. It must be injected very slowly to minimize risks.
