Intracin PROFEN (Ketoprofen 100 mg/ml) is a non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drug (NSAID) injection indicated for the treatment of inflammatory and painful conditions in horses, cattle, and pigs.
INDICATIONS
- Horses:
- Musculoskeletal Disorders: Treatment of inflammation and pain associated with bone, joint, and musculoskeletal conditions (e.g., laminitis, arthritis, osteitis, tendinitis, bursitis).
- Colic: Symptomatic therapy for pain associated with colic.
- Post-Surgical Care: Treatment of inflammation and pain following surgery.
- Cattle:
- Respiratory Infections: Treatment of respiratory tract infections.
- Mastitis: Treatment of acute clinical mastitis.
- Pigs (Sows):
- Respiratory Infections: Treatment of respiratory infections.
- MMA Syndrome: Treatment of Mastitis-Metritis-Agalactia (MMA) syndrome.
ADMINISTRATION
- Route: It can be administered via intravenous or deep intramuscular injection, depending on the species.
- Concurrent Medication: Do not administer within 24 hours of other NSAIDs.
- Pregnancy: Do not administer to pregnant mares, as effects on fertility or fetal health have not been determined.
- Withdrawal Periods: Meat (Cattle) – 4 days; Meat (Horse) – 28 days; Milk – Nil.
