Intracin IMOLY 10% (Oxytetracycline Injection 10% w/v) is a broad-spectrum antibiotic indicated for the treatment of infections in cattle, camels, sheep, goats, horses, dogs, and cats.

INDICATIONS

• Respiratory Infections: Pneumonia and shipping fever complex.
• Gastrointestinal Infections: Bacterial enteritis (scours) and gastroenteritis.
• Reproductive Infections: Metritis, pyometra, and retained placenta.
• Infectious Bovine Keratoconjunctivitis (Pinkeye): Specifically caused by Moraxella bovis.
• Foot Rot: Caused by Fusobacterium necrophorum.
• Other Infections: Mastitis, dermatitis, cystitis, wound infections, and navel-ill.
• Blood-borne Infections: Tick-borne fevers and infections.
• Sheep-Specific: Enzootic abortion caused by Chlamydophila abortus.

ADMINISTRATION

• Dosage: The general recommended dosage for full-grown animals is 1 ml per 10-20 kg (22-44 lbs) of body weight, for 3-5 days.
• Young Animals: The dosage for young animals is 2 ml per 10-20 kg of body weight for 3-5 days.
• Maximum Volume: Do not administer more than 20 ml in cattle, 10 ml in swine, or 5 ml in calves, goats, and sheep per injection site.
• Method:
  • • Intramuscular: Deep injection into a major muscle group, such as the neck.
    • Subcutaneous: Under the skin, often in the neck area.

• Contraindications & Warnings:
  • Horses: Do not administer IMOLY 10% to horses if they are also receiving corticosteroid therapy.
  • Cats/Dogs: Not for intravenous (IV) administration in dogs or cats.
  • Side Effects: Transient swelling may occur at the injection site in horses (intramuscular) and dogs (subcutaneous).
  • Precautions: Use caution during late pregnancy as it may cause tooth discoloration.
