Intracin DCLAT 500 WS is a broad-spectrum, water-soluble antibiotic powder used to treat gastrointestinal and respiratory infections caused by doxycycline-sensitive microorganisms in livestock and poultry.
INDICATIONS
- Respiratory & GI Infections: Targets bacterial infections, including those from Mycoplasma, E. coli, Salmonella, and Pasteurella spp..
- Species Applications: Used for respiratory and intestinal issues in poultry, swine, calves, sheep, and goats.
- Contraindications: Do not use in cases of liver damage, hypersensitivity to tetracyclines, or in adult ruminants with active microbial digestion.
- Precautions: Avoid concurrent use with specific antibiotics (penicillins, cephalosporins, quinolones) and note that teeth discoloration may occur in young animals.
Administration: Typically given orally via drinking water; Dosage for calves, goats, and sheep is twice daily at 1 gram per 100 kg body weight for 3-5 days.
