Intracin CIT-C (Vitamin C injection) is primarily indicated as a supportive treatment to enhance immune function, manage stress, and treat Vitamin C deficiencies in livestock, and small animals.
INDICATIONS
- Supportive Therapy: Used alongside antibiotics and sulfonamides for infections, absorption disorders, and chronic illness recovery.
- Immune & Stress Support: Strengthens resistance against stress, heatstroke, overexertion, and high environmental temperatures.
- Metabolic and Deficiency Diseases: Treats hypovitaminosis C (scurvy) and supports cases of malnutrition, anemia, or reduced resistance.
- Inflammatory Diseases: Used in cases of pneumonia, hepatitis, nephritis, and enterocolitis.
- Toxicity/Poisoning: Aids in recovery from intoxication, including bacterial toxins and heavy metals.
- Muscular/Reproductive Support: Used for myoglobinuria and muscle fatigue in horses, as well as supporting fertility in mares and stallions.
ADMINISTRATION
- Method: Intramuscular (IM) injection is the standard recommendation, though it may also be given subcutaneously or slowly intravenously.
- Dosage (Examples):
- Horses: 5-10 ml.
- Dogs: 1-2 ml.
- Frequency: Twice weekly or as directed by a veterinary surgeon.
