IMOLY 10% is an Oxytetracycline injection (10% w/v) (100 mg/mL) designed for treating bacterial infections in various species, including cattle, sheep, goats, pigs, horses, and small animals.

INDICATIONS

  • Respiratory Infections: Treatment of pneumonia and bronchopneumonia, including infections associated with Pasteurella spp. and Mannheimia haemolytica.
  • Urogenital Tract Infections: Treatment of metritis, pyelonephritis, and Leptospirosis.
  • Gastrointestinal Infections: Treatment of colibacillosis (E. coli) and Salmonellosis.
  • Musculoskeletal & Soft Tissue Infections: Treatment of infectious polyarthritis, joint infections, and various wound infections.
  • Systemic Bacterial Infections: Used in septic conditions, secondary bacterial infections, and enterotoxemia.
  • Specific Bacterial Diseases: Treatment of actinobacillosis (wooden tongue), listeriosis, and swine erysipelas.
  • Reproductive & Post-Partum Care: Treatment of mastitis-metritis-agalactia (MMA) syndrome in sows and other post-operative conditions.
  • Foot Infections: Treatment of foot rot.
  • Anaplasmosis: Specifically used in the treatment of anaplasmosis in cattle.
  • Enzootic Abortion (Sheep): Effective against Chlamydophila abortus.

ADMINISTRATION

  • Route: Usually administered via intramuscular (IM) injection, although subcutaneous or slow intravenous (IV) routes may be used depending on the species.
  • Contraindications: Not for use in horses receiving concurrent steroid therapy; use caution in late pregnancy due to potential teeth/bone discolouration in offspring.
  • Withdrawal Times: Specific withdrawal times for meat and milk vary by species and region (e.g., 28 days for meat in many formulations).
