Intracin AT WS Amoxycillin Oral Powder is a broad-spectrum, water-soluble antibiotic indicated for the treatment of gastrointestinal, respiratory, and urinary tract infections in calves, goats, poultry, sheep, and swine.
INDICATIONS
- Respiratory Infections: Treatment of bacterial pneumonia, bronchitis, and sinusitis caused by sensitive organisms.
- Gastrointestinal Infections: Treatment of colibacillosis (E. coli), salmonellosis, and enteritis (scours).
- Urogenital Infections: Treatment of cystitis and metritis.
- Other Indications: Effective against secondary infections following viral illnesses, as well as skin and soft tissue infections (abscesses, wounds).
- Poultry (Chickens, Turkey, Duck): Treatment of colibacillosis and salmonellosis (bacterial pathogens).
- Swine: Treatment of bacterial pathogens responsible for pneumonia (e.g., Pasteurella), meningitis and arthritis caused by Streptococcus suis, and secondary infections resulting from ear or tail-biting.
- Calves, Sheep, and Goats (Pre-ruminant): Treatment of bacterial infections like scours (diarrhea), pneumonia, and Navel Ill.
ADMINISTRATION
Intracin AT WS (Amoxycillin Trihydrate) Water Soluble Powder is administered orally by dissolving it in drinking water or milk for livestock.
- Method: Oral administration, typically via drinking water or as a drench.
- Calves, Goats, and Sheep: The recommended dose is 5 g per 100 kg body weight, administered twice daily for 3-5 days. This is usually intended for pre-ruminant calves, lambs, and kids.
- Poultry and Swine: Mix 1 kg of powder per 1000–2000 litres of drinking water, administered for 3-5 days.
- Preparation: Ensure the powder is fully dissolved in fresh, clean water immediately before use. Medicated water should be the only source of drinking water during treatment.
- Withdrawal Periods: The withdrawal period for meat is 8 days for calves, goats, sheep, and swine, and 3 days for poultry.
