Sulfadoxine + Trimethoprim

Vet India Pharmaceuticals TRIDOX (sulfadoxine + trimethoprim) is indicated as a broad-spectrum antibacterial for livestock and poultry.

Swine
- Enteritis/Ileitis: Treatment of intestinal infections caused by Lawsonia intracellularis (proliferative enteropathy).
- Swine Dysentery: Control of diarrhea caused by Brachyspira hyodysenteriae.
- Respiratory Diseases: Treatment of enzootic pneumonia associated with Mycoplasma spp..
- Secondary Infections: Treatment of enteric infections caused by E. coli or Salmonella spp..
Poultry (Chickens)
- Chronic Respiratory Disease (CRD): Prevention and treatment of CRD associated with Mycoplasma gallisepticum and E. coli.
- Necrotic Enteritis: Treatment of enteritis caused by Clostridium perfringens.
- Secondary Infections: Treatment of airsacculitis and septicemia related to sensitive E. coli.

1. Injectable Form (Sulphadoxine & Trimethoprim)

This is a liquid injection typically containing a combination of Sulphadoxine and Trimethoprim.

Route: Administered via Deep Intramuscular (IM) injection.
Administration Tips: For larger volumes in cattle, it is recommended to split the dose and inject at 2 to 3 different sites, preferably in the deep gluteal (rump) muscles.
Frequency: It is often used as a single-shot therapy for rural conditions, but can be repeated if necessary.

2. Bolus Form (Oral)

The Tridox Bolus is an oral tablet used for broader antibacterial coverage in various livestock.
