Intracin METRAZOCIN is a metronidazole 10% powder primarily indicated for the treatment of cankers, giardiasis, and other protozoal infections in birds.

INDICATIONS

• Protozoal Infections: Indicated for the treatment of Giardia (Giardiasis), Trichomonas, Histomoniasis, and Amoebic dysentery.
• Intestinal and Gastrointestinal Conditions: Treatment of diarrhea, particularly when associated with Giardia or other protozoa, as well as inflammatory bowel disease (IBD) in animals.
• Bacterial Infections: Targeted against obligate anaerobic bacteria, such as Clostridium (e.g., C. perfringens or C. difficile).
• Other Specific Conditions: It may be used for gingivitis, oral infections, and as a supportive treatment postoperatively following abdominal or colonic surgery.
• Poultry & Birds: Used for histomoniasis, giardiasis, and trichomoniasis.
• Large Animals: Indicated for conditions such as calf scour, metritis, endometritis, and vaginitis.
• Companion Animals (Dogs/Cats): Used for giardia infections and inflammatory bowel disease.
