Intracin IROFLOX SA (10% w/v Enrofloxacin Injection) is a broad-spectrum fluoroquinolone antibiotics indicated for the treatmemt and controlling bacterial and mycoplasmal infections in cattle, buffaloes, sheep, goats, and camels.
INDICATIONS
- Respiratory Tract: Shipping fever pneumonia (H.S.), pleuropneumonia, and general pneumonia.
- Gastrointestinal & Enteric: Colibacillosis, salmonellosis, and related complications.
- Urinary & Reproductive: Renal infections and mastitis (specifically caused by Mycoplasma spp. and susceptible microorganisms).
- Systemic/Viral: Secondary bacterial complications occurring during viral infections, as well as colisepticemia.
Target Species & Susceptible Pathogens
The injection is formulated for use in:
- Cattle, buffaloes, sheep, goats, and camels.
Acts against the following pathogens:
- Mycoplasma spp.
- Escherichia coli (E. coli)
- Salmonella spp.
- Pasteurella spp.
- Klebsiella spp.
- Staphylococcus aureus
- Haemophilus spp.
- Proteus spp. & Vibrio parahaemolyticus
ADMINISTRATION
- Dosage: Typically 1 mL per 20-40 kg of body weight (equivalent to 2.5-5 mg of enrofloxacin per kg). If required, a second dose is administered after 72 hours.
- Route: Intramuscular (I.M.), Subcutaneous (S.C.), or slow Intravenous (I.V.) use.
- Withdrawal Periods: Animals must not be slaughtered, and milk should not be used for human consumption during treatment.
