Intracin FLASIN 20% is a 20% w/v Tylosin injection (a macrolide antibiotic) primarily indicated for the treatment of respiratory, bacterial, and mycoplasmal infections in cattle, sheep, goats, and swine.
INDICATIONS
- Cattle (Lactating): Used for bovine respiratory complex (shipping fever, pneumonia), foot rot, calf diphtheria, metritis, and mastitis.
- Swine (Pigs): Treats mycoplasmal infections, contagious pleuropneumonia, swine dysentery, and metritis.
- Sheep and Goats: Effective against pneumonia, arthritis, and contagious agalaxia.
- General: Effective for soft tissue infections and bacterial diarrhea.
ADMINISTRATION
- Route: Intramuscular use only.
- Administration Site: It is important to rotate injection sites to minimize tissue irritation.
- Volume Restrictions: To ensure animal comfort and absorption, the volume per injection site should be limited.
- Duration: Treatment is typically continued for a specific period following the remission of disease signs.
- Withdrawal Periods: Adherence to established withdrawal times for edible tissue and milk is essential to avoid residues.
