Intracin IMOLY 20% LA (Long Acting) is a broad-spectrum oxytetracycline injection designed for the treatment of infections caused by sensitive bacteria in cattle, sheep, and pigs.
INDICATIONS
- Respiratory Infections: Treatment and control of pasteurellosis, pneumonia, bronchopneumonia, and enzootic pneumonia in cattle, sheep, and pigs.
- Eye Infections: Treatment of infectious bovine keratoconjunctivitis (New Forest Disease/pink eye) caused by Moraxella bovis, and infectious ovine keratoconjunctivitis.
- Foot Infections: Treatment of foot rot (necrotic pododermatitis) and foul-in-the-foot.
- Reproductive/Uterine Infections: Treatment of acute mastitis, metritis, and retention of placenta.
- Systemic Infections: Control of enzootic abortion in sheep, and treatment of navel-ill, septicemia, and wound infections.
ADMINISTRATION
- Administration: It is given by intramuscular or subcutaneous injection, usually at a dose of 1 ml per 10 kg body weight.
- Species Restrictions: Not recommended for cats, dogs, horses, or donkeys.
- Withdrawal Period: Milk should not be used for 7 days post-treatment, and animals should not be slaughtered for human consumption within 28 days (70 days for pigs in some data, 28 days for cattle/sheep in others).
