CP-Pharma Aureodermil is an ophthalmic ointment containing sulfacetamide sodium, neomycin sulfate, and prednisolone acetate for use in dogs, cats, and sport horses for the treatment of ocular infections.
INDICATIONS
- Infectious Conjunctivitis: Treatment of inflammation of the conjunctiva caused by bacteria sensitive to the active ingredients.
- Keratitis: Management of corneal inflammation, particularly when combined with bacterial risk.
- Blepharitis: Treatment of inflammation of the eyelids.
- Uveitis: Reduction of inflammation in the anterior segment of the eye (iris and ciliary body).
ADMINISTRATION
- Preparation: Wash your hands and, if necessary, wear gloves. Before applying, remove any excess discharge or crusts from around the animal’s eye using a wet dressing or cloth.
- Application:
- Tilt the animal’s head back so it is looking at the ceiling.
- Pull down the lower eyelid of the affected eye gently.
- Apply approximately 0.5 cm of ointment into the conjunctival sac (the space between the lower eyelid and the eye).
- Ensure the tip of the tube does not touch the eye, eyelid, or eyelashes to avoid contamination.
- Post-Application: Gently close the eyelids and massage them to help distribute the medication.
- Hygiene: Replace the cap securely after use and wash your hands.
