Polymixin E (colistin)

Samsun Biotech Colistin-vet (polymixin E) is indicated for gastrointestinal infections in pigs, calves, sheep, goats, rabbits, and poultry.

Preparation: The powder is mixed with a specific volume of clean, fresh water or milk replacer according to the manufacturer’s or veterinarian’s recommended dilution ratios. It is important to ensure the product is thoroughly dissolved.
Delivery: The medicated water/milk is provided as the sole source of drinking fluid for the animals during the treatment period.
Monitoring: Water or feed consumption should be monitored frequently to ensure that the animals receive the correct dosage based on their body weight.
Duration: The duration of treatment is typically 3 to 7 days, and should not exceed the minimum time necessary for treating the disease.
Freshness: Medicated water should be freshly prepared every 24 hours to maintain potency.
