ADMINISTRATION

• Ensure Adequate Hydration: It is crucial that the animal maintains adequate water intake during the treatment period to prevent potential side effects such as crystallization in the urine.
• Prepare Fresh Solutions Daily: Medicated water or stock solutions should be prepared fresh every 24 hours to ensure potency. 

• Chickens and Turkeys:
  • The powder is dissolved in the birds’ drinking water, which serves as their sole source of water and medication for 6 consecutive days.
  • Specific dilution ratios (e.g., 0.05% for chickens, 0.025% for turkeys) are provided on the product label and often involve using an automatic water proportioner for flock medication.
• Cattle (Dairy Calves, Dairy Heifers, and Beef Cattle):
  • In Drinking Water: The powder can be mixed into the daily water supply using specific dilution rates based on estimated water consumption (which varies by season, e.g., summer vs. winter) and the animal’s body weight.
  • As a Drench: For treating individual animals, a stock solution can be created and administered as an oral drench at a specific mg/lb dosage (an initial higher dose followed by maintenance doses for 4 days).
